Each tape is unique. Home dubbed in real time high-bias cassettes in re-used cassette cases w/ hand-painted sand paper applied to hand-cut blue paperboard. Hand-stamped covers. Photocopied insert w/ hand-inked symbols. The aim was to utilize materials already in possession which have distinctive personal history, to turn what would have been garbage into something personally meaningful being sent out into the world.

Directives’ first full-length album. A collection of varied experiments with guitar sounds and amorphous textural composition.

D. Petri's work as Directives deals heavily with guitars, often lo-fi cassette recorded & put through (or alongside) hi-fi digital manipulation & editing software / equipment. Field recordings, other sounds and instruments are sometimes also at play. D. works in the duo Dog Hallucination since 2004, operates the Aubjects label and writes @ Petriblog as time allows.
